Awards Radar Community: What Are Your Summer Movie Going Traditions?

We’re in the dog days of summer, folks. The weather is hot, school is out, and the blockbusters are being released. Some summer movie seasons are better than others, of course, but there’s always something special about seeing a big film in a cold multiplex. With it, of course, comes your personal traditions for the summer. So, for this weekend’s Awards Radar Community Question, we’re asking about your summer movie going traditions. Which do you partake in?

If you have something specific you do, don’t be shy. Do you like to see a new release every weekend? Do you sometimes see a movie just to get out of the heat? Maybe you like a drive-in theater? If you’re in New York City, many of the parks have really good outdoor screenings set up. Whatever the case, we’re keen to find out.

Maybe you just play it by ear? Perhaps you don’t have a plan, but merely hit what looks interesting. You may not see everything, but something like Deadpool & Wolverine gets you out of the air conditioning? That’s totally valid and worth sharing.

However you tackle summer movies, we want to know. Indoors, outdoors, new releases, classics…just tell us about it. Any and all of your summer movie traditions have our attention. So, don’t be shy!

What are your summer movie going traditions? Let us know!
