First Trailer for ‘Alien: Romulus’ Reminds Us That In Space, No One Can Hear You Scream

The first trailer for Alien: Romulus has been released online. Written and directed by Fede Álvarez and co-written by Rodo Sayagues, the film stars Cailee Spaeny, Isabela Merced, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, and Spike Fearn.

Here is the plot synopsis:

“The sci-fi/horror-thriller takes the phenomenally successful “Alien” franchise back to its roots: While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.”

“Hey, remember that great movie from forty-five years ago that scared the daylights out of your parents because they had never seen anything quite like that, before? That was pretty cool, huh? Anyway, here’s a trailer that leans on the same imagery, sounds, and iconography of that decades-old movie that we hope you’ll be nostalgic for, even though there’s a really good chance you weren’t even born yet when that genre-defining classic was first released in theaters!”
