Yorgos Lanthimos Brings His ‘Kinds of Kindness’ This June!

After multiple wins at the 96th Academy Awards, including Best Actress with Emma Stone for Poor Things, Disney has announced that Yorgos Lanthimos‘s next feature will arrive in theatres much sooner than anticipated.

Titled Kinds of Kindness, the film will reunite Lanthimos and Stone for the third time with a screenplay co-written by Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou. The film will co-star Willem Dafoe, Jesse Plemons, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie, and Hunter Schafer.

Not much is known about its plot other than it will be a sci-fi anthology film that will focus on three stories with four or five actors involved in each one and will be released in cinemas on June 21. Perhaps it won’t be as big of a contender as Poor Things was for the Oscars, but it’s certainly exciting to see Lanthimos return to the screen in just a short span between his last film and his next one. One very much anticipates what he has been cooking here, with an equally exciting cast as his last project.
