BAFTA Awards Led By ‘Oppenheimer’

Moments ago, the BAFTA Awards wrapped up across the pond. Oppenheimer wins seven BAFTAs to lead the way, including Best Film, Actor for Cillian Murphy, Director for Christopher Nolan, and Supporting Actor for Robert Downey Jr., making for an expectedly good showing for the movie. Poor Things was next in line, winning five BAFTAs, including Actress for Emma Stone, while The Zone of Interest took home three BAFTA prizes. Remember, these aren’t the be all, end all, precursor results, but there is some Academy overlap here. So, Oscar is, to some degree, paying attention. The rest of the BAFTA results can be seen below, and stay tuned for some discussion on the podcast in a few days.
