Anne Hathaway to Co-Star with Tom Cruise in New ‘Days of Thunder’

Gentlemen, start your engines. The Days of Thunder sequel continues to move forward, with Paramount Pictures today announcing a release date for the film, alongside a new bit of casting. Joining returning star Tom Cruise in the racing drama will be none other than Anne Hathaway. More can be found below, including some small details on who Hathaway will be playing.

According to Variety, Hathaway is co-starring with Cruise in the next chapter of Days of Thunder, with a release date set for June 2nd, 2028. Jonathan Levine is confirmed to direct, with screenplay by Will Staples. The only plot details, according to the article, are that “Hathaway is set to play a racecar team owner and engineer” besides Cruise obviously returning as Cole Trickle.
