SCAD Savannah Film Festival is Returning for its 29th Year October 24th-31st

As the fall festival season gets underway next week (look for editor Joey Magidson’s coverage of the Telluride Film Festival, followed by the Toronto International Film Festival and New York Film Festival), it’s important not to sleep on the regional festivals. If you talk to any industry insider in the know, to a person they say a deeply underrated one is the SCAD Savannah Film Festival. Well, it’s back for its 29th year. More below.

According to Variety and the festival itself, the SCAD Savannah Film Festival will run its 29th incarnation from October 24th to the 31st. The lineup is forthcoming, but expect many of the movies that played Telluride, TIFF, and more to be screening there. Any festival junkie would do well to pay attention to this one!
