Danny Boyle and Alex Garland Are Teaming Up Again For ’28 Years Later’

When 28 Days Later hit theaters, Danny Boyle and Alex Garland rewrote the rules of the zombie movie. The sequel, 28 Weeks Later, was effective, if more generic, but interest has been high for another installment ever since. What makes it interesting is that Boyle and Garland have been into the idea, even as their careers have evolved, alongside star Cillian Murphy. Well, it seems like they might finally be getting their wish

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Boyle is returning to direct and Garland to write 28 Years Later, the first of a presumed trilogy. They’re going out to studios and streamers this week, so the wheels are in motion. Murphy isn’t involved yet, but that certainly can be a possibility down the road. Stay tuned.
