Skyler Gisondo and Sara Sampaio Join ‘Superman: Legacy’

James Gunn‘s Superman: Legacy ramps up its cast, with Skyler Gisondo boarding the project as fan-favorite character Jimmy Olsen, photographer for The Daily Planet. The role was previously portrayed on-screen by Marc McClure, Sam Huntington, and Michael Cassidy, with the latter iteration of the character being controversially killed during the opening minutes of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Additionally, Sara Sampaio is also joining the cast as Eve Teschmacher, assistant for Lex Luthor, who was reported to be played by Nicholas Hoult yesterday. Teschmacher was a creation for the 1978 Superman movie and was played in the film by Valerie Perrine.

With the strike over, production for Superman: Legacy is set to begin early next year, with the film flying up up and away to theatres on July 11, 2025.
