A ‘Tomb Raider’ Movie and Series Are in the Works at Amazon

The Tomb Raider video game, and its Lara Croft adventures, have been turned into three movies, none of which have perfectly captured the games. Amazon Studios still believes in the promise of the character and property, however, as they’ve got a film and television brewing. More below, including the surprising name working on the show’s scripts.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Phoebe Waller-Bridge is on boars to write the Tomb Raider series, which will connect not just to the film being developed, but the upcoming new game as well. Amazon sure seems to be all-in on the franchise, hoping for their own Marvel Cinematic Universe of sorts. Stay tuned for more.
