Interview: Talking ‘Love, Death & Robots’ with Tim Miller and Jennifer Yuh Nelson

Tim Miller and Jennifer Yuh Nelson have individual resumes that speak for themselves. The directors have worked on blockbusters like Deadpool and Terminator: Dark Fate (for the former) as well as animated fare like Kung Fu Panda 2 and Kung Fu Panda 3 (for the latter). Together, as well as with David Fincher and others, they godfather the ambitious animated Netflix series Love, Death & Robots. Miller is the show’s creator and executive producer, while Yuh serves as the supervising director. Teamed up, they’re making some of the most unique television out there. Nominated at the Emmy Awards, they were available to chat recently, and I was more than happy to take them up on the offer. Today, our discussion comes your way.

Below, you can hear my conversation with Miller and Nelson. I made sure to mention my affection for Deadpool before we started recording, but Love, Death & Robots is the focus. Mainly, I was curious about how exactly a project like this comes together, in particular, when it comes to their roles. Miller and Nelson are very generous with their time, informative with their answers, and a pleasure to talk to. You’ll find out below, but take my word for it. Plus, this was recorded on the day that a fourth season was announced, so it was a good time for the crew, on the whole.

Here now is my interview with Love, Death & Robots‘ Tim Miller and Jennifer Yuh Nelson. Enjoy:

Love, Death & Robots is currently streaming on Netflix!
