TIFF 2022: Tribute Award for Performance Announced with ‘My Policeman’ Receiving the Inaugural Honor

The cast of Michael Grandage‘s My Policeman will be the first ensemble to receive the honor. Harry Styles, Emma Corrin, Gina McKee, Linus Roache, David Dawson, and Rupert Everett are all part of the group being awarded.

This marks the fouth year in which the TIFF Tribute Awards, presented by BVLGARI, take place during a fund-raising gala. The 2022 edition of said event will take place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel on Sunday, September 11th.

My Policeman, which tells the story of a gay officer (Harry Styles) who marries a school teacher named Marion (Emma Corrin) while secretly dating a museum curator (David Dawson), will premiere during this year’s Toronto International Film Festival.

The film serves as an adaptation of Bethan Robert‘s 2012 award-winning novel, with the screenplay being penned by Ron Nyswaner (Freeheld, The Painted Veil). My Policeman will receive a limited theatrical release on October 21st, before being available to stream on Amazon Prime Video on November 4.
