Interview: Talking ‘Severance’ with Star Adam Scott

Most people associate Adam Scott with comedy. Whether it’s Parks and Recreation, Party Down, Step Brothers, or a bunch of other projects, both on the big and small screen, Scott makes people laugh. However, he also started out as a dramatic actor, something you can see on his filmography. Moreover, my two favorite performances of his, Sleeping with Other People and The Vicious Kind are legitimate serious work, with the latter being an incredibly heartbreaking turn. Scott now is blowing people away on Severance, which led to us hopping on Zoom about a month or so ago to talk about the buzzy show. Today, that conversation comes your way…

Below, you can hear my discussion with Scott. While Severance is the focus, I was actually pretty interested in his evolution to and from comedy. After all, having been such a fan of his performances in Sleeping with Other People and The Vicious Kind, for example, it was fertile ground for conversation.
