Cannes “Un Certain Regard” Award Winners Announced: ‘The Worst Ones’ Wins Top Prize

The awards for the Un Certain Regard category at the Cannes International Film Festival have been announced. Lise Akoka and Roman Gueret’s The Worst Ones has won the Prix Un Certain Regard. Vicky Krieps has also won the Best Performance Award for her role in Corsage, with Adam Bessa for Harka. The final awards for the festival, including the coveted Palme d’Or, will be presented tomorrow during its closing ceremony. Below is the complete list of winners:

Prix Un Certain Regard: “The Worst Ones,” Lise Akoka, Romane Gueret

Jury Prize: “Joyland,” Saim Sadiq

Best Director: Alexandru Belc, “Metronom”

Best Performance: Vicky Krieps, “Corsage” and Adam Bessa, “Harka”

Best Screenplay: Maha Haj, “Mediterranean Fever”

Coup de Coeur Award: “Rodeo,” Lola Quivoron
