Dates for Sundance 2023 Have Been Announced

The dates for the 2023 Edition of the Sundance International Film Festival have been announced. This year, plans to be a fully in-person festival were canceled amid the spread of the highly contagious Omicron variant of COVID-19, so the festival will be playing it safe for next year, as it will be a hybrid edition taking place in Park City or online from January 23rd to the 29th.

COVID protocols could be put in place, but those will be elaborated at a later date. In a statement, festival director Tabitha Jackson explained that “We can’t wait to return to our home in Park City and present exciting new work from around the world live and in person. We also have two years of digital exhibition and participation under our collective belt, and are returning to the excitement and immediacy of live events while retaining a powerful online offering.”

Ticket sales will also be announced closer to the festival, but submissions for its 2023 edition have begun today.
