Ethan Hawke goes bad in The Black Phone, one of the more highly anticipated horror titles of 2022. Playing a masked killer who abducted a teenage boy, this could really have him sinking his teeth into the material. Plus, the hook of the boy being able to communicate by phone with the killer’s prior victims is quite the hook. Well, Universal has debuted a second Trailer today, one that should only raise interest.
The film is directed by Scott Derrickson, from a script he co-wrote with C. Robert Cargill, adapting the Joe Hill short story. It comes out in late June, so we’re still two months away, but this does seem like it could end up one of the better horror movies of the year, at least judging by the Trailer.
Here now is the newest Trailer for The Black Phone:
The Black Phone comes out on June 24th!
