Zendaya to Campaign in Best Actress for ‘Dune: Part Three’

One of the only unseen contenders for Oscar’s attention remaining is Dune: Part Three. The expectation is that Denis Villeneuve’s epic conclusion to his science fiction trilogy will be an Academy Award player. One of the potential awards season hopefuls is, obviously, Zendaya. Previously, with the first two films, she was campaigned in Best Supporting Actress. Well, that’s not going to be the case this time, as you can see below.

According to Variety, Zendaya will campaign in Best Actress for Dune: Part Three. Being upgraded from Supporting Actress to Actress could mean a lot of things, but we won’t know for sure until we see the movie. If nothing else, it suggests that Zendaya’s character has an even bigger role in this one. For now, it’s just something to mark down, and of course, mark your calendars accordingly.
