The 9th annual Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild Award nominations were announced today. The awards honor achievements in film as well as television, commercials, music videos and live theater. Coming 2 America, The Eyes Of Tammy Faye, House Of Gucci, and The Suicide Squad all led the nominations with four each.
Last year, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom won both Make-Up and Hair Styling awards, both in the Period categories. They year before, Bombshell won those two awards as well, only in the Contemporary categories. Both films went on to win the Academy-Award for Best Makeup And Hairstyling.
