Despite the fact that Jason Reitman‘s Ghostbusters: Afterlife releases in theaters worldwide next Friday, November 19th, a brand new final trailer for the upcoming third installment in the long-running series has just been released online. This follows some early screenings and reviews, including one highly positive take here from our own Joey Magidson.
The film – which serves as a sequel to both 1984’s Ghostbusters and 1989’s Ghostbusters II – follows a single mom and her two kids who arrive in a small town. Not long after they arrive, they begin to discover their connection to the original Ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.
You can take a look at the final trailer here:
Cast members include Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. Reitman directed the film from a screenplay he wrote alongside Gil Kenan.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife is scheduled to be released theatrically by Sony Pictures on November 19, 2021.
