‘Midnight Run’ Sequel Confirmed With Robert DeNiro & Regina Hall

In 1988, Martin Brest directed the highly beloved and critically lauded Midnight Run from a screenplay by George Gallo. The film starred Robert DeNiro as Jack Walsh, a bounty hunter who was enlisted by bail bondsman Eddie Moscone to bring accountant Jonathan “The Duke” Mardukas back to Los Angeles.

Have you ever wanted a sequel to that film? If you have, you are in luck. Today, it was announced that a sequel to Midnight Run is in the early stages of development. Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Aeysha Carr is penning the movie, which is set up at Universal. Story details on the sequel are being kept under wraps.

Regina Hall is set to star in the project, although details regarding her role have not yet been disclosed. Because the film is so early in development, no other cast members have been announced yet.
