Jake Gyllenhaal is a 911 Operator in ‘The Guilty’ Teaser

Earlier this week on social media platform Instagram, actor Jake Gyllenhaal posted an extremely cryptic video to his profile that got his fans, and a ton of people in general, talking but also incredibly confused.

The video in question flashed a normal-looking cell phone number, but when fans of the actor called the number, they were a little freaked out to hear an eerily real-sounding 911 call take place, with Gyllenhaal as an operator talking to somebody who is being kidnapped.

But, thankfully, the strange phone call is actually a snippet of the teaser trailer for Gyllenhaal’s brand new movie The Guilty, which has just been released. Take a look at the extremely cryptic teaser video:

The project is directed by Antoine Fuqua and stars Gyllenhaal, Ethan Hawke, Peter Sarsgaard, Riley Keough, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Paul Dano, and Bill Burr. Not too many plot details are being disclosed at this time.
