It is hard not to already be excited about Martin Scorsese‘s newest project, Killers of the Flower Moon, but now we have the announcement that Brendan Fraser is joining the cast.
After taking a hiatus from acting, Fraser has starred in numerous crime films and this announcement is another one to add to his portfolio. Fraser joins previously announced cast members including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, and Jesse Plemons.
Killers of the Flower Moon will be based on a nonfiction book of the same name by David Grann, with the screenplay being penned by Eric Roth. Here is a quick synopsis of the film: Members of the Osage tribe in the United States are murdered under mysterious circumstances in the 1920s sparking a major F.B.I. investigation involving J. Edgar Hoover. The film is currently still in production, with a release date from distributors Apple TV+ and Paramount Pictures to be confirmed.
In the meantime, Fraser is also attached to numerous upcoming projects. No Sudden Move has just recently released in the US, and other projects such as Darren Aronofsky’s The Whale are on the horizon for what might be a strong 2022 for the actor.
