Interview: Karan Soni and Geraldine Viswanathan Talk Hitting the Oregon Trail for ‘Miracle Workers’

For three seasons on Miracle Workers, Karan Soni and Geraldine Viswanathan have shifted into new roles as the series resets each year into a new setting. With the third season, Oregon Trail, airing now on TBS, they head into the Great Outdoors on a journey to new opportunities. 

We had the chance to speak with the actors (for the second time in recent weeks) about their new roles this season, and how this series manages to stand out from the pack by utilizing clever subversions to reinvent old character types. We also discussed farts in the face, drawing inspiration from The O.C. to play nefarious gunslingers, and what luxuries they’d miss the most if they were transported back to the Oregon Trail themselves.
