‘Blue Bayou’ Gets Its First Official Trailer After a Cannes Debut

With the 2021 Cannes Film Festival nearing its end, it’s no surprise that a number of the films that have wowed viewers are already getting distribution deals – many of which being films that you won’t have to wait too long to see for yourself.

One of these movies is Justin Chon‘s Blue Bayou which he wrote and directed. The film, which stars Chon, Alicia Vikander, Mark O’Brien, Linh Dan Pham, Sydney Kowalske, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Emory Cohen follows a Korean-American man raised in the Louisiana bayou who works hard to make a life for his family, but he must confront the ghosts of his past as he discovers that he could be deported from the only country he has ever called home.

Blue Bayou is scheduled to be released in theatres on September 17, 2021, by Focus Features.
