“By the power of grayskull!”
After 36 years of waiting and one failed movie reboot later, fans of the original Masters of the Universe series won’t have to wait long to see the continuation of their favorite 1980s cartoon in Masters of the Universe: Revelation which will see its release on Netflix later this month.
The show created by longtime super fan Kevin Smith stars an impressive voice cast boasting names such as Mark Hamill, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lena Headley, Justin Long, Kevin Conroy and Alicia Silverstone to name a few.
This two-part series follows Prince Adam/He-Man and the rest of Eternia’s finest heroes going up against Skeletor and other villains of Snake Mountain on their quest to restore magic and solve the mystery of the missing Sword of Power.
Due to the franchise’s up and down history since the original’s release, fans of the original who may have been apprehensive about the new anime reboot were greeted to glossy animation and fan favorite characters in the new trailer which promises to solve unresolved plot points from the series’ conclusion in 1983.
The new trailer can be seen below:
Part one of Masters of the Universe: Revelation is set to be released on Netflix on July 23, 2021.
