Julia Stiles has been acting for a long time now. Whether you fell in love with her in 10 Things I Hate About You or Save the Last Dance, just to name two projects, it’s likely she won you over at some point. I know she did for me, even if it also doesn’t hurt that she’s a big New York Mets fan, like myself. Stiles has also had the Bourne franchise as a vehicle, though her most recent film, The God Committee, is arguably her most interesting role to date. Given the chance earlier this week to talk to her about that movie, as well as much more, I was more than game. Our discussion now comes your way today.
This here is some of what I said in my review of The God Committee:
Up and down the line, this is a really good cast. They’re legitimately what makes this film worth seeing. Kelsey Grammer and Julia Stiles are the leads, and each hasn’t had this juicy a role in some time. Grammer lets you see the logical side of the coin, while Stiles is more the heart of the matter. As showcases for them, The God Committee is on very solid ground.
Below, you can hear my conversation with Stiles. We obviously spend a fair amount of time talking about The God Committee, but that’s hardly the only topic at hand. I was also very curious about her impending feature directorial debut, and the process that has entailed. Plus, it was just interesting to talk to such an interesting actress. It was a good chat, one that easily could have gone longer, and I hope you all like it. Her flick is well worth seeing, too, so be sure to check that one out, now that it’s been released at last…
Here is my interview with The God Committee star Julia Stiles. Enjoy:
The God Committee is out now!
Great interview…I fell in love with her acting after seeing Business of Strangers…even though it was a borderline lead I had her in my top 5 supporting actresses that year. Looking forward to seeing this movie. Didn’t know she was a big met fan…bonus points for that as well.
Thanks!
