Arnold Schwarzenegger Heads to Netflix for New Global Spy Series

Netflix dropped a bombshell today (or shall we say a… Terminator?), announcing that none other than Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to star in an eight-episode spy series that he will also be producing.

This will be Schwarzenegger’s first major move into television, headline the one-hour drama as a father who along with his daughter (Monica Barbara) learn that they’ve been secretly working as CIA operatives for years and that their entire relationship is a lie. The two are forced to team up on a mission that will take span the globe with a blend of action and humor. The currently untitled series is created by Nick Santora, developed as an original idea as part of his deal with Skydance Television.

First reported by Deadline, Schwarzenegger shared his enthusiasm for the series, saying, “Fans from all over the world have been asking me for a wild ride like this for years, and now they’re finally going to get it because of our great partners at Skydance and Netflix. I am beyond pumped to start work on the show with Nick and Monica and the whole team.”
