Interview: Jodie Turner-Smith Talks Getting to Play an Action Hero in ‘Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse’

In a very brief period of time, Jodie Turner-Smith has really turned a lot of heads. She’s popped up in a few different smaller roles, but you may have first noticed her on the show The Last Ship. However, the highest profile project to date for Turner-Smith has no doubt been Queen & Slim. She received a bit of Oscar buzz for that turn, which only raised her stature in Hollywood. That translated, in part, to a plum role alongside Michael B. Jordan in the action film Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse. Now, as the movie gets set to hit Prime Video this weekend, after having been picked up by Amazon, she took some time out of her busy schedule to talk to yours truly.

Below, you can hear my interview with Turner-Smith. In a stunning turn of events (perhaps there’s a bit of good-natured sarcasm here), we mostly talked about Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse. There was the concept of working alongside Jordan, as well as the quirk of filming the project while pregnant. That certainly gives her work in the flick an interesting extra layer.
