‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ is the Official Title for the Next Spidey Flick

For those on social media last night, Tom Holland and his Spider-Man co-stars had quite a bit of fun, offering up a confusing array of misleading potential titles for the third movie in the MCU’s franchise of web slinging adventures. Spider-Man: Phone HomeSpider-Man: Home Slice, and Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker were among the titles we saw being teased.

Unsurprisingly (and thankfully), none of those are actually the true title of the new film, as Sony Pictures have announced that the film is officially titled Spider-Man: No Way Home

The announcement was made on Twitter, with a fun little video starring Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon, referencing Holland’s habit of accidentally revealing spoilers from the notoriously spoiler-shy franchise.

Not a lot is known about the plot details of Spider-Man: No Way Home, although we do know that the film will co-star Benedict Cumberbatch, reprising his role as Doctor Strange. Rumors say that the film could delve into the multiverse, which would make sense as the film has confirmed the return of Jamie Foxx as Electro, his villain from the Andrew Garfield-starring The Amazing Spider-Man 2, along with Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius, the villain of the Tobey Maguire-starring Spider-Man 2. Rumors abound of who else may or may not be coming back for this new Spidey adventure, including the potential return of those other Spider-Men.

For now, we’ve got the title, and the release date, which is currently set for December 17th, 2021.
