Spain to Submit ‘La bola Negra’ for Best International Feature Film Oscar Consideration

The race for Best International Feature Film at the Oscars is beginning to heat up. We already knew Fjord was eligible due to the Palme d’Or win at the Cannes Film Festival, though it was also selected by Romania for submission. Now, one of the other major frontrunners for not just this Academy Award category but others has joined it in La bola negra. Read on for more.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Spain has made the expected choice and selected La bola negra. One of the big hits of Cannes, our own Joey Magidson saw it at the Telluride Film Festival, putting forth a positive review here. Much is still to come, but this does feel like a safe bet for at least a nomination, if not more.
