The wait is on for a new Wes Anderson film. Last year, he put out The Phoenician Scheme, to his usual critical acclaim, but there’s been nothing concrete about what his next project would be. There still isn’t, and we don’t even know if this is about his next movie or not, but Anderson and Bill Murray have recently teased a Western project that they’d both like to do. More below.
According to Variety, while at the Cinema Paradiso Event at the Louvre in Paris, Anderson and Murray mentioned a “cowboy movie” that they’d like to make together. Murray stated that Anderson, being from Texas, owes him one, while Anderson mentioned also involving Luke Wilson and Owen Wilson. Time will tell if anything comes of this, but it could be a film in our future from the quartet.
