This morning, Sony Pictures released the official teaser trailer for The Social Reckoning. Billed as a companion piece to The Social Network, Aaron Sorkin writes and directs this look at what led to the The Facebook Files being exposed by the Wall Street Journal. Mikey Madison and Jeremy Allen White star, while Jeremy Strong plays Mark Zuckerberg, replacing Jesse Eisenberg. The rest of the cast includes Bill Burr, Betty Gilpin, Billy Magnussen, and more. Sony will release this one in theaters on October 9th.

The official synopsis, via Sony, is as follows:

A companion piece to the hit film The Social Network, Sorkin’s original screenplay is based on the events that gave rise to the Wall Street Journal’s shocking exposé The Facebook Files. Yes. That actually sold me on the casting, which up until now, I’ll admit I’d been a bit disappointed that Eisenberg wasn’t returning.
