Michael B. Jordan and Christopher McQuarrie to Adapt ‘Battlefield’ Video Games in a Movie

The Battlefield series of video games are, along with Call of Duty, the blockbusters of war games. The latter is getting a film adaptation, courtesy of Taylor Sheridan‘s writing and Peter Berg‘s direction. Well, not to be outdone, bidding is going out on a movie version of the former, with some A-list talent attached. More below.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Christopher McQuarrie is going to write, direct, and produce Battlefield, with Michael B. Jordan on hand to produce as well, and possibly star if things come together. A studio first has to buy the pitch, but this is considered to be a very hot property, so expect a deal to get done in the very near future. Stay tuned.
