Jordan Vogt-Roberts was long attached to helm the film, with Oscar Isaac in the lead role. Well, there’s an update on the game adaptation, with a new team tackling it. Read on for more.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zach Lipovsky and Adam B. Stein are going to direct a Metal Gear Solid movie. Lipovsky and Stein are hugely in demand after the success of Final Destination: Bloodlines, with this easily their biggest project to date. There aren’t any other details at the moment, but if it does continue to move forward, expect casting news and other updates soon.

Hopefully they stay true to the games and write an incredibly convoluted-to-the-point-of-near-incomprehensibility storyline laced with overt critiques of late-stage capitalism.
