‘The Bear’ is Coming to an End with Season Five

The Bear is preparing to close its doors. The Jeremy Allen White-led culinary dramedy, currently in production on its fifth season, will not have a sixth. Creator Christopher Storer had already talked about having a four season arc for the show, which had a season finale with some definitive conclusions. Well, a fifth season was ordered, and is currently shooting, but Storer, White, and company will truly be saying goodbye then.

According to The Hollywood Reporter and other sources, season five of the show will be its last. FX hasn’t commented yet, but if true, it brings the series to a conclusion as one of the more highly regarded in the channel’s history. The Bear has been a perennial Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG nominee, as well as sometimes winner, so a final season will give all involved a chance to say farewell. More when we have it.
