A Movie Adaptation of ‘Tecmo Bowl’ is in the Works?

With the Super Bowl just days away, football is on the forefront of many minds, especially if you’re a fan of the New England Patriots and/or the Seattle Seahawks. Hollywood has the sport on their minds as well, as news has come down about a classic football video game getting a movie adaptation. More below.

According to Variety, the NES game from the 1980s, Tecmo Bowl, has a film adaptation in the works. How this will turn into a movie is anyone’s guess, but legions of gamers and sports fans have fond memories of Tecmo Bowl, so at the very least, they’re starting from a good place.
