The latest trailer for Frankenstein has been released as the movie is set to premiere on Netflix in a week from now! Written and directed by Guillermo del Toro and based on the novel of the same name by Mary Shelley, the film stars Oscar Isaac, Jacob Elordi, Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Charles Dance, and Ralph Ineson.
Here is the plot synopsis:
“Oscar®-winning director Guillermo del Toro adapts Mary Shelley’s classic tale of Victor Frankenstein, a brilliant but egotistical scientist who brings a creature to life in a monstrous experiment that ultimately leads to the undoing of both the creator and his tragic creation.”
Our editor-in-chief, Joey Magidson, saw the movie at the Telluride Film Festival and said that it “is technically sumptuous, as you might expect. The beauty of the grotesque is done up here in a way that’s absolutely stunning. If it doesn’t necessarily feel like del Toro has something particularly new to say about Mary Shelley‘s tale, it also feels like it was a flick he 100% needed to make.”
