‘Train Dreams’ Settles on Categories for Oscar Campaign

Among the many Netflix titles hoping to get Academy Award attention, Train Dreams stands out as one of the smallest, but potentially most powerful contenders. As such, plans for an Oscar campaign have been underway ever since the streamer purchased the title out of the Sundance Film Festival. Well, now we know exactly where the cast will be campaigning, category-wise.

According to Gold Derby, Train Dreams will be hoping to get Felicity Jones nominated in Best Supporting Actress, while Joel Edgerton is in Best Actor, with William H. Macy looking to contend in Best Supporting Actor. The movie will play in select theaters on November 7th before streaming on Netflix on November 21st.
