A day after it played at the Toronto International Film Festival, A24 has released an official trailer for The Smashing Machine. Written and directed by Benny Safdie, Dwayne Johnson has been earning raves for his performance as Mark Kerr, while Safdie just won the Director prize at the Venice Film Festival. The movie will be out in theaters everywhere on October 3rd.
The official A24 synopsis for the film still just is: “The story of mixed-martial arts and UFC champion Mark Kerr.” Johnson plays Kerr, with Emily Blunt leading the supporting cast.
