James Gunn had already said that he was far along in prepping his next DC Universe project, and that it would involve Superman, but wasn’t necessarily a sequel to Superman itself. Well, today he revealed what the project is, and it’s none other than Man of Tomorrow. You can see the image in the piece, which is Jim Lee artwork, announcing the film.
According to Gun himself on Instagram, Man of Tomorrow will hit theaters on July 9th, 2027. Nothing else is known yet, but it sure looks like we’ll see David Corenswet‘s Superman and Nicholas Hoult‘s Lex Luther once again. As for the rest? We’ll have to wait for Gunn to let us know, but we now know what’s next for him in the DC Universe.
