Weapons is currently the toast of Hollywood, with Zach Cregger the next big thing. In fact, it’s even getting some early Oscar buzz, centered on Amy Madigan‘s scene stealing character. So, it’s not surprising that Warner Bros. wants more. What’s a bit surprising is exactly the project that Cregger might be considering.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, WB is talking to Cregger about doing a Weapons prequel, one that would be centered on Madigan’s Aunt Gladys. It’s one of many potential projects for Cregger to consider, as he’s also got a potential DC Studios film in Henchman, as well as a science fiction movie he’s penned called Flood. Regardless of what he chooses, it seems like the cinematic world is Cregger’s oyster, so stay tuned.
