The First Trailer for ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ from James Cameron is Here!

This morning, the first trailer for James Cameron‘s next Avatar adventure has arrived. Hitting theaters on December 19th, Avatar: Fire and Ash continues his franchise story, though no official plot description is available yet. As it goes with this series, the visuals look impeccable, so Cameron may well have another spectacle in store for us this winter.

This is what 20th Century Studios has to say in their press release:

The trailer for “Avatar: Fire and Ash” from Oscar®-winning filmmaker James Cameron is here! The trailer and film stills are now available to download and share. The third film in the phenomenally successful “Avatar” franchise opens exclusively in theaters worldwide in IMAX 3D, Dolby Cinema 3D, RealD 3D, Cinemark XD, 4DX, ScreenX, and premium screens everywhere on December 19, 2025.

This past weekend, the trailer debuted on the big screen with “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” providing movie-goers with a first look at the film’s eye-popping visuals, new clans, and stunning new creatures.

With “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” James Cameron takes audiences back to Pandora in an immersive new adventure with Marine turned Na’vi leader Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Na’vi warrior Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña), and the Sully family. The film, which has a screenplay by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver, and a story by James Cameron & Rick Jaffa & Amanda Silver & Josh Friedman & Shane Salerno, also stars Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Oona Chaplin, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Trinity Bliss, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass and Kate Winslet.

I look forward to this movie setting several box office records and making three billion dollars at the box office before going on to leave no lasting cultural footprint.
