Severance
BRITT LOWER – OUTSTANDING LEAD ACTRESS IN A DRAMA SERIES
Severance – Apple TV+
“I am struck with awe and gratitude to be recognized by the Television Academy for this honor. I am taking it all in. These flowers, so to speak, are particularly meaningful, as they represent the great privilege and joy it is to step into the roles of Helly R and Helena alongside my on and off screen heroes. I am so happy to see so many of our extraordinary cast, crew and creators get recognized as well – whose words, lights, brushes, stitches, lenses, props, edits, sketches, choreography, and deep presence shape the curious office that captured our collective imagination.”

It brings me feelings of folly and nimbleness!

Being acknowledged for my work both as a cinematographer and director is all the more meaningful.
I was thrilled to get the call from Ben Stiller to play Sissy because I’ve known and admired him for so long, and I’ve loved Severance since the beginning. As a resident of the Canadian Maritimes myself, I was delighted to film our Severance episode in Newfoundland because I love the coast, people, and wildlife of this beautiful region. Working with Ben as director was wonderful, and acting with Patricia Arquette and James Le Gros was a real treat. My congratulations to Ben and all the other Severance nominees.”

The idea that our bit of social realism, shot just outside of Doncaster, would capture an audience on such a global scale is astonishing to us. The idea that then we would be considered for prizes alongside people that have dazzled us our whole life is just beyond imagining.
This was a show made by everyone, authored by the whole, and it was the most magical experience and we feel deeply fortunate to have worked alongside such wonderful people. Thank you to everyone at Netflix and thank you to the Television Academy.”

This nomination means the world to me — not just as recognition, but as a reminder of how far I’ve come. It’s for everyone who stood by me through the highs and the lows, who believed in me when I needed it most.
It’s a testament to the power of perseverance. Dreams are important — but it’s the hard work, the setbacks, the growth, and the consistency that make them real.
Five years ago, this felt out of reach. Today, I’m incredibly proud — not just for myself, but to stand alongside a group of artists I admire deeply. What we made together is something I’ll carry with me forever, and to see it acknowledged on this level is truly special.
Thank you to the Emmys for this nomination. To my wife and kids — thank you for grounding me and giving me purpose. To my family and friends, for being my foundation. To my team, who’ve worked tirelessly behind the scenes. And to the entire cast and crew — thank you for your brilliance and your heart.

The Penguin
CRISTIN MILIOTI – Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie
The Penguin – HBO
“I’m so supremely thrilled by the 24 nominations our show received today. I’ll admit it, I involuntarily fist pumped the air when I heard.
I am forever grateful to Lauren LeFranc, HBO, and our incredible cast and crew — titans of talent, all of them. Getting to play ‘Sofia’ has been a profound experience to say the least, and my nomination is icing on an already deeply meaningful cake (?).
I am so proud of everyone who worked so tirelessly to make our show so excellent, and I am very excited to throw on a gown and clink glasses with them in September.”
Deirdre O’Connell
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie
The Penguin – HBO
“I am beside myself with happiness about this nomination. I look around at the ferocious, inspiring ladies in this category, and I can’t believe I am seated amongst them.
Playing Francis Cobb was a great delicious blessing top to bottom.
Lauren LeFranc led us with such challenging and perfectly calibrated writing. All of our directors came into the game with real curiosity about how much unpredictable messy life we could pack into this operatic tale. And my perfect, wild, fearless, loving partners in crime Colin, Cristin, and Rhenzy made anything possible every day. For all of the darkness and violence we had to live inside of, there was a real sense of glee on that set. And enormous love.
That the world gets such a bang out of what we made is a wonderful added bonus.”
Mike Marino
Outstanding Prosthetic Makeup
The Penguin – HBO
“I’m extremely proud to be nominated for The Penguin alongside my incredible team. Being part of a show that received 24 nominations is something very special.
Watching Colin Farrell disappear into this character made the work all the more meaningful. It’s the kind of collaboration you dream about.”
LAUREN LeFRANC – Showrunner, Executive Producer, Writer
The Penguin – HBO Max
“It is an honor to see our show recognized by the Television Academy in such a tremendous way. 24 nominations for The Penguin is astonishing. I am endlessly grateful for HBO Max’s support, and beyond thrilled for Colin, Cristin, and Deirdre, whose work on The Penguin is nothing short of astounding. It has been a genuine pleasure making eight episodes with the kindest, most talented, and fiercely passionate cast and crew, and I look forward to trading in our heated vests and winter coats for something a touch classier, and ideally with fewer layers. One last hurrah. ‘We did it, Ma.’”
Johnny Han – Outstanding Special Visual Effects in a Single Episode
The Penguin – HBO Max
“I put my partner on speakerphone to find out the results together. But before I could scroll down, the text messages starting coming in. I did a semi silent fist pump into the air, after which I called my Mom.”

And the fact that I get to do it with the cast, crew, writers, and directors of Shrinking – each and every one of them are geniuses – makes it even better. We’re already blowing it. Um… no comment!”
RON HOWARD – Nominated for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series
THE STUDIO – Apple TV+
“The whole experience in doing The Studio was such a blast. Evan [Goldberg] and Seth [Rogen] have that set completely wired for creativity and laughs, and I’m a huge fan of the show. I really wasn’t playing myself because I was playing the asshole version of myself and a way out there asshole at that. It really was another character. I just would never do any of those things, say any of those things. But it was so cathartic, so fun to play a jerk. But it also did demand something more than just sort of a casual cameo or playful kind of appearance like I’ve done many, many times. And I had so much fun. What’s it like to be nominated alongside another acclaimed director in the acting category? Marty’s a good actor. I tried to cast him in a movie once, and he’s tried to cast me a couple of times, and it’s never come to fruition. Our schedules never aligned. I wasn’t surprised in the least that he was excellent in the episode. And it’s cool that the Academy noticed.
CATHERINE O’HARA – Nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series

And thank you to the hair and makeup and wardrobe and nails of Maya Mason for doing half the work for me. This has been a total joy and I’m so proud to be one of the gazillion recognitions. The company I’m in, in this show and in this category, are my heroes. And also, I must shout out my beautiful coven on Agatha All Along – so proud of our work. JASON ISAACS – Nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
The White Lotus – HBO
“This is a bunch of cherries on the icing on the cake that was the gift of playing such a tortured and lonely human for the brilliant Mike White. To be able to call the real, shining Nikki Boyer (before I called my own parents) and say to her, ‘None of us would be here without you, Nikki,’ was such a thrill, and it is also the real truth. I should get a T-shirt made with Jeanie Bacharach and Jessica Daniels’ faces on it.

And endless gratitude goes out to our writers, casting team, our talented, hardworking NY crew and our brilliant director, Shannon Murphy.
We share these nominations with our partners: Katherine Pope, FX, Wondery, and our studio, 20th Television, which has been a creative home for both of us for over 15 years.
We couldn’t have made this show without the support and trust of Nikki Boyer whose dedication to telling her best friend’s story is nothing short of heroic.
And of course any recognition of this show honors the memory of Molly Kochan, who bravely documented her experience with unflinching honesty in order to shine a light on what it feels like to live, love and dom with metastatic breast cancer.”
