First Trailer for ‘Project Hail Mary’ Sees Ryan Gosling in Space as Earth’s Final Hope

This morning, the first trailer for Project Hail Mary launched on to the internet. Starring Ryan Gosling, the science fiction film has elements of action and comedy, which shouldn’t be surprising considering Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are at the helm. Amazon MGM plans to release this one on March 20th, 2026.

The synopsis for the film is the following:

Not an Astronaut Ryland Grace awakens on a spacecraft with no memory of himself or his mission. He slowly deduces he is the sole survivor of a crew sent to the Tau Ceti solar system in search of a solution to a catastrophic event on Earth. In his search for answers, Grace must rely on his vast array of scientific knowledge, sheer ingenuity, and human will – but he may not have to search alone.

Here is the first trailer for Project Hail Mary. Take a look:

If you have not read the book, DO NOT WATCH THIS TRAILER.

I REPEAT

DO NOT WATCH THIS TRAILER

This horrible offensive no-good trailer spoils a major twist a third of the way through the story. Seriously, the rug-pull the book pulls is one of the reasons why it’s such a great read, and they REVEAL IT IN THIS TRAILER WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM?!?!?

I was wondering that as well, though I like the trailer more than you do.
