Back at the Sundance Film Festival in January, one of the bigger movies to screen was Bill Condon‘s Kiss of the Spider Woman, starring Jennifer Lopez. Reviews were a bit on the mixed side, but this was always going to find a home without too much trouble. Now, we know where the musical is likely going to be landing.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Roadside Attractions, Lionsgate and LD Entertainment are in final negotiations to acquire the film. In addition to Lopez, Kiss of the Spider Woman also stars Diego Luna, Tonatiuh, and Tony Dovolani. Look for this one to likely come out later this year for awards consideration, but we’ll wait to find out for sure. For now, it does appear like the film has found its distribution.
