As Christopher Nolan begins to ramp up production on his latest movie before the cameras start rolling, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that he plans to reteam with Robert Pattinson for this yet-to-be-titled project. He will now be part of the core lead cast, comprised of Tom Holland, Matt Damon, and Anne Hathaway, while Zendaya and Lupita Nyong’o are reported to have supporting roles.
Nothing is known about the details of the characters, but it’s certainly exciting to see Pattinson return with Nolan, after collaborating with him on 2020’s Tenet. While reviews for this movie were some of the most divisive of the filmmaker’s career, Pattinson’s performance as Neil received the most praise, alongside John David Washington‘s The Protagonist.
The movie will begin filming during the first half of 2025, and is planning to be released on on July 17, 2026. Pattinson is also slated to reprise his role as Bruce Wayne in The Batman – Part II which could also shoot at the same time next year. However, no plans have been made in that regard.
There have been many speculations as to what Nolan’s next film will be, with plenty of rumors stating that it would be a vampire thriller or a helicopter pilot action movie, but sources close to the production have said that no one has currently discovered anything. What will it be about? Only Nolan knows, but there are bound to be more details to make our way as filming will soon begin!
