This morning brought a look at what’s sure to be among next year’s biggest films in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning. Yes, that’s a new title for the Tom Cruise sequel, after is was meant to piggyback off of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and be called Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two. The prior movie underperformed a bit at the box office, which might have something to do with it, as well as hoping to add some anticipation with a sense of finality in the trailer. Either way, Ethan Hunt will be trying to finish this mission, with the odds obviously stacked against him.
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning is directed once again by Christopher McQuarrie, who co-writes with Erik Jendresen. In addition to Cruise, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Angela Bassett, and Henry Czerny are all back once again.

Fun Fact: Tom Cruise is now the same age as Ian McKellen was when The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring made its theatrical debut.
