Right after the announcement that it will be debuting at the Venice Film Festival, Warner Bros has released a second trailer for Joker: Folie à Deux. Joaquin Phoenix returns to the title role, while Lady Gaga joins him as the Harley Quinn to his Joker.
The latest plot synopsis by WB is the following: “Joker: Folie À Deux” finds Arthur Fleck institutionalized at Arkham awaiting trial for his crimes as Joker. While struggling with his dual identity, Arthur not only stumbles upon true love, but also finds the music that’s always been inside him.”
Joker: Folie à Deux is directed by Todd Phillips, with the screenplay by Phillips and Scott Silver. Joining Gaga and Phoenix in the cast are Zazie Beetz, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Steve Coogan, Ken Leung, Harry Lawtey, and more. The film hits theaters on October 4th.
