Jennifer Garner in Talks to Star in Ben Affleck’s ‘Animals’

In a [very] early morning announcement, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Jennifer Garner is in talks to star in Ben Affleck‘s Animals. The film, distributed by Netflix, is set to have cameras rolling by March and is written by Connor McIntyre and Billy Ray.

Matt Damon will star in the lead role, with Garner set to play Damon’s wife if talks are successful. Affleck and Garner had a highly-publicized marriage of over 13 years before the two divorced in 2018.

The pair had previously worked together on screen in Michael Bay‘s Pearl Harbor, 2003’s Daredevil, and its spinoff, Elektra. However, they have never collaborated behind the camera. Meanwhile, Garner will reprise her role as Elektra Natchios in the upcoming MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine, which will hit theaters on July 26.
