We’re right in the thick of the fall film festival season, and for some, like yours truly, it’s actually almost done. It’s a funny thing to think about, considering how so many of the movies being seen and raved about won’t screen for general audiences for weeks or even months still. It’s a privileged position, of course, and I don’t take it lightly. That little thought actually inspired this weekend’s Awards Radar Community Question. For those of you who weren’t lucky enough to attend a festival, which film or films are you most looking forward to seeing?
Between the Venice Film Festival, Telluride Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, and now New York Film Festival, there’s no shortage of choices. Between the lot, you have plenty of movies to choose from. Venice debuted things like Ferrari, Maestro, and Priscilla (all of which are going to NYFF), along with Hit Man (which went to TIFF), plus The Killer, as well as Poor Things (which went to Telluride). Telluride had All of Us Strangers, The Holdovers, Nyad, Rustin, and Saltburn among their premieres. Then, TIFF launched American Fiction into the heat of the Oscar race. That’s only the tip of the iceberg, too.
So, the choice is yours? What are the festival films that you’re most eager to see? Whatever the titles are, we’re eager to find out. Don’t be shy, folks. The movies you want to see? We’re just as excited to hear about your excitement. Let it rip!
Which fall film festival title are you most anticipating seeing? Let us know!
