‘Wonder Woman 3’ Isn’t Currently Happening in the New DC Universe

Recently, Wonder Woman star Gal Gadot had suggested that a third film in that franchise was being developed under the new DC leadership, spearheaded now by James Gunn. The thought of a Wonder Woman 3, potentially to course correct after Wonder Woman 1984 disappointed. Well, not so fast, it seems.

According to Variety, Gunn, alongside co-head of DC Peter Safran, is not in fact doing a third Wonder Woman, at least right now. So, Gadot and her fans will have to wait for a Wonder Woman 3, if it ever happens. Right now, Gunn and Safran are looking to launch their new DC Universe with a clean slate. Could we see Gadot play the role again eventually? That’s a definite possibility, but DC has other plans at the moment, going forward.
